Our Centennial: 1921 - 2021

Still today, Saint Ann is a thriving church community situated in a vibrant and historic area of the city that continues to grow. Our year-long celebration, culminating with Saint Ann's Feast Day on July 26th, 2021, was designed to look back and to look forward throughout the year, showcasing our special heritage in community-wide activities and in school curriculum. These moments and events incorporated members of our Saint Ann Church and School communities, the larger West Nashville community, our alumni, and many more.

November Update: Final Events and Opportunities!

As we head into the end of 2021, we are planning our final Centennial events, including the second tree planting, debut of our longer Saint Ann history video, and the time capsule burial. Learn more and register here.

Fall Update: Continuing the celebration!

We have been so thrilled with the response to our grotto dedication and Centennial celebration over the Summer! We also installed a historic marker in August. What a beautiful time to be part of the Saint Ann community. Our prayer is that, as we wind up our Centennial year, that our parishioners continue to remain involved and invested in this landmark celebration and the life of our community.

Our July 31st Celebration will include a family day from 12:00 to 4:30 that will have water games - all children from toddlers through eighth graders are invited to wear water clothes. Please bring a towel, sunscreen, and a change of clothes for Mass and evening childcare if you plan to stay.

May Update: Several Successful Centennial Events!

Our Centennial Committee has been very busy during April and May!

We hosted an organ concert for our parishioners and our Centennial sponsors - watch the concert, see pictures and learn more by clicking here!

Fr. Joseph Aytona and Fr. Ricardo Pineda from the Fathers of Mercy led us in a week-long parish mission that revitalized our faith and set our hearts on fire with love for Christ and His church. Learn more here.

We still have great plans to celebrate our Centennial, including the grotto dedication and Mass, a parish novena leading up to Saint Ann's Feast Day, our community fair, and more! 

April Update: Recent Successes!

The response to our Centennial efforts has been amazing: we have distributed and prayed two different prayer cards; had a well attended 40 Hours of Adoration in our Chapel, which was made more beautiful than I have ever seen it by members of our Hispanic Community for our Lord; parishioners prepared and delivered 40 meals to Dismas House during Lent; our English and Spanish Youth Groups collected bags and bags of food for those in need; 50 Trees were planted on Palm Sunday by almost 100 St. Ann volunteers; and, finally, the parishioner support for our Grotto plans has been OVERWHELMING. 

Thank you for your time, your attention and mostly for your INVOLVEMENT as we continue to celebrate our beloved parish and school, past and present, and radiate Christ today, tomorrow and for the next 100 years!
