Phil Ponder has been documenting Nashville history in pen/ink and watercolor since 1979. He paints historic structures in Middle Tennessee, and is best known for his limited edition prints of skylines and famous buildings. His unique style is accomplished through a combination of pen and ink/watercolor techniques emphasizing great detail and warmth of color. He recently won the Achievement Award from the Metropolitan Historical Commission for his work detailing “the loss of historic buildings as well as the creation of new icons.”
