I am the Lead Teacher of the Hand in Hand Options classroom. Since 2017, the Hand in Hand Options class has grown from 3 students to 8 in grades 5-8. This program currently serves upper school students who need accommodations and modifications in Reading, Language, and Math. When students are in my classroom, they work on curriculum and activities where they hone in on their communication and expressive language skills. When students are not in my classroom, they are with their homeroom class and participate in Religion, Science, Social Studies, and special areas where they use their strategies to engage with peers and teachers.
I also lead the Study Skills classes that take place outside the school day, which is currently available to all upper school students. We meet in small groups to teach skills that go beyond the scope of middle school in preparation for high school in the context of current class assignments.
I am a Nashville native and I attended Saint Henry (2008) and Pope John Paul II High School (2012).
