Behavior Essentials
Student grades are determined using the following percentages:
Tests/Projects: 70%
Homework: 30%
The homework grade is based on completion of assignments. If a student does not have a homework assignment on the due date, he/she may turn it in at the next class meeting for ½ credit. A slip will be sent home in the next Tuesday folder for missing or incomplete assignments.
All text books are published by Prentice
Hall and are online at: http://www.phschool.com/atschool/txtbk_res_ss.html

given daily. Long-range assignments and/or projects may be assigned in
Religion,
3. Students who have been ill are given a reasonable amount of time to complete make-up work based on individual circumstances.
4. If an emergency should keep the child from completing work at home, parents are asked to write a note to the teacher involved which would allow a one day extension.
5. Parents will be notified of all late/absent assignments in the Tuesday folder. The signed homework slip is to be returned in the Tuesday folder. It is the student's responsibility to present the completed late homework to the teacher on the next school day for half credit.
6. Handwriting and neatness of papers is to be stressed in all assigned work. Grades will be withheld until rewritten to meet pre-set standards. Rewriting of a messy paper may be assigned as homework.
This year we will be using Reader's Handbook: A Student Guide to
